I’m a Creative Access Consultant and Director specialising in creative audio description and inclusive storytelling — working at the intersection of lived experience, artistic expression, and access innovation

My Journey:

My journey into this work is personal — shaped by losing my sight at a young age, moving to a new country, and navigating the medical and cultural systems that came with it. Through it all, the arts became a lifeline. Creativity was how I found connection, made sense of change, and began to reimagine what was possible.

I started with sculpture and drawing — tangible, tactile forms of expression — before moving into drama, where I began to connect with my peers in a way I hadn’t before. Finding my confidence, my voice, and my energy to play. No longer being the blind Black kid at the front of the class with nothing to say.

Since then, I’ve performed with hundreds of eyes on me, facilitated workshops, and directed shows. Over the years, this evolved into a practice that’s rooted in the pursuit of joy, play, and collaboration.

Access as a Creative Practice

I believe accessibility isn’t just about compliance. It’s about connection. About expanding who gets to feel seen, heard, and moved.

My work explores how access can be integrated from the beginning — shaping the creative process, not sitting outside it. Whether that means embedding audio description into choreography, guiding teams through inclusive dramaturgy, or rethinking how audiences engage with sensory experiences, I treat access as a dynamic artistic tool.

I’ve partnered with organisations like The National Youth Theatre, Leeds Playhouse, Extant and Mind the Gap, and supported grassroots projects like Fade. At every level, I help collaborators build work that speaks across difference — without flattening nuance.

What I Bring

  • A foundation in performance, facilitation, and creative writing
  • Lived experience as a Black, partially blind artist
  • Expertise in inclusive design, creative audio description, and sensory storytelling
  • The ability to hold complexity with care — emotional, cultural, and systemic

I meet projects where they are, offering both creative direction and strategic access insight. I ask different questions. I hold space for voices often unheard. I build bridges — not just between artists and audiences, but between intention and impact.

What I Offer

Whether you’re:

  • Creating a new performance
  • Developing inclusive programming
  • Exploring access-led storytelling
  • Reaching visually impaired audiences in new ways

…I bring deep curiosity, lived experience, and a collaborative spirit. Together, we make access not just possible — but powerful.

Why Work With Me

Because you want your work to resonate — widely, deeply, and with integrity.

Because you’re ready to build creative processes where no one is left behind.

Because you believe access can spark not just inclusion, but be innovation.
